Project Life- Week's 9 & 10

Well I am finally back with 2 weeks worth of Project Life. I have gotten behind due to being sick and installing new flooring in Megan's room.

Week 9 Highlights:

Justin got a haircut after 9 months without one, Courtney is enjoying dating again, Leap Day, Check-in for OLW and MMEW, Megan received a Thank you note in the mail and while picking up a birthday gift for a friend, she got a Moshi Monsters trial membership.

Full page spread:

This week I used my new Cobalt Core Edition. I like the colors, but prefer the Clementine Edition.

For Leap Day I got information about it off the internet and copy and pasted into Word, then printed it off and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper.

Week 10 Highlights:

I started reading the Hunger Games so that I would have read them all by the time the movie came out. (I love my Nook for this), Megan riding outside for the first time, Izzy and Riley enjoying the sun for the first time in awhile, a collage from us installing new flooring and Daylight savings. I also scanned my grocery list with the amount spent on it and reduced it for one of the pockets. It will be great to look back on in the upcoming years.

These last two pictures show you where I am with week's 11 & 12. I will finish these up hopefully this week to post next week. I may not get both done since I am cleaning for my parents arrival on Friday, and I have to spread my cleaning over several day now due to my arthritis and allergies. Gone are the days of power cleaning like I used to do the night before my husband would come home from deployment. I take it one step at a time.

One last thing. I wanted to post these two pictures because Megan preformed for All City Chorus on Saturday at out Art's Center here in town. They were great and she looked so cute. Where  we live there are over 100 Elementary Schools in the city so they had to split the schools into two different days of performing, but Friday and Saturday were all the different grades from 5th to 8th grade Chorus and Stings playing at various times. It was a great experience for all of them.

Thankfully the weather was great in the morning and then the storms and rain came in the afternoon and for the rest of the weekend.

This & That Thursday-

We have had a beautiful week here in Va. Beach. This winter has been the mildest that I remember since we moved here in 1993. On Tuesday I was taking Megan riding and I snapped this picture of the drive there. It is hard to believe that we have this much open space still left in Va. Beach, so I enjoy this ride out to the barn every week.

Wednesday Wrap Up-

Today I am going to share with you some of the wonderful meals I have been making that I found on Pinterest. My family has also been excited to mix things up a bit in the dinner department. First you have to understand that even though I don't work and have all the time in the world, (LOL) I hart cooking dinner!

So here goes, first up is this wonderful Lasagna Soup, I make it at least twice a month. The only thing I do different is add 1/2 hamburger and add in more tomatoes and broth to get more liquid with it.

Next up are these wonderful Chicken pockets. My family devoured these in no time.

The last one I want to share is this. I make these up and my youngest goes through them in no time. She is my Smoothie girl and this saves me a ton by not having to go to Tropical Smoothies and shelling out $5 for one Smoothie.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Project Life - Week 8

A few observations first. One- My weeks are slow in the beginning and are packed from Thursday through Sunday. I need to balance this out more. Two- I used the Cobalt Core Edition this week and I like it, but I prefer the Clementine Core Edition. Three- We ate a lot of Fast Food this week or we went out to eat. We need to get back in control and get back to home cooked meals.

I added an extra page protector Design F, from the Big Variety Pack and cut one row off the end to make it smaller than the Original page protectors and that was all the photo's I have. I liked how it turned out and will be doing this again.

This is my full spread:

Front of Insert:

For the background in the pockets I used paper from my stash and cut to fit and then put the pictures on top. I like to do this to use up my ever growing stash. The letters are old Cosmo Cricket. I printed out from the menu what everything that we ate was. This was one of our best date nights that we have had in a while. We went to our Town Center and ate dinner, then went to another place for coffee and dessert and then off to the Comedy Club for some laughter.
(Sorry for the glare)
 Here is the right side:

A few things to note is that my three children are very different when it comes to ordering food. My oldest will heap on all the toppings as you can see in this picture of her list of things she wanted on her burrito. My son is very picky with what her eats and will opt for popcorn or bologna and cheese if he doesn't like what we are eating. The youngest will pick a a great thing to eat and strip it down to just the basics. None of them just order straight from the menu like my husband and I do. That is why I love Project Life, I can capture all of this so easily.

I used a few new supplies this week that I made myself. I made the Saturday tab that is on my insert and I used my Studio Calico Stamps on a label sheet that I first ran through my printer and printed a graph background onto them. I also ran some cardstock through with the lined background and cut them to fit into the 3x4 pockets. I will be putting a few kits up for sale here on the blog for next weeks update. I will also be listing some of my supplies that I am purging at this moment, so check back.

Project Life- Week 7

This week was a busy week with Interviews, Doctors Appt., Valentine's Day, dinner out, painting and movie watching. Both Courtney and Megan were sick this week. Courtney with Strep and Megan with just a sore throat, but no positive strep test. :-)

I used the Clementine Core Edition with scraps from my stash. I have linked at the bottom of the post most of the supplies that I used. If you have any questions let me know. I know that last Friday I stalked Amazon for the Project Life products that came in stock and got everything I need plus I picked up the Cobalt edition too. They are on there way to my door step right now and I can't wait to get them.

Here are the pictures of my week. I added three additional inserts this week, one for pictures of Valentines Day, Valentine Cards from Bob and Megan's Valentine cards from friends. After I put the cards in the protectors I put a tiny bit of tape runner adhesive at the top and sealed shut so they won't fall out. I enjoyed putting this week together and even got a bit more crafty with my inserts.

The button card is one that I had left over from last week that I slipped in a pocket and the decorative 4x6 card I used my new trellis die that I won at my LSS.

Happy Tuesday and again if you have any questions leave me a comment.
