Project Life- Week 7
This week was a busy week with Interviews, Doctors Appt., Valentine's Day, dinner out, painting and movie watching. Both Courtney and Megan were sick this week. Courtney with Strep and Megan with just a sore throat, but no positive strep test. :-)
I used the Clementine Core Edition with scraps from my stash. I have linked at the bottom of the post most of the supplies that I used. If you have any questions let me know. I know that last Friday I stalked Amazon for the Project Life products that came in stock and got everything I need plus I picked up the Cobalt edition too. They are on there way to my door step right now and I can't wait to get them.
Here are the pictures of my week. I added three additional inserts this week, one for pictures of Valentines Day, Valentine Cards from Bob and Megan's Valentine cards from friends. After I put the cards in the protectors I put a tiny bit of tape runner adhesive at the top and sealed shut so they won't fall out. I enjoyed putting this week together and even got a bit more crafty with my inserts.
The button card is one that I had left over from last week that I slipped in a pocket and the decorative 4x6 card I used my new trellis die that I won at my LSS.
Happy Tuesday and again if you have any questions leave me a comment.

Getting a little Crafty.....
Happy Presidents Day! We have off today and I have spent it painting Megan's room, driving to order Justin's cap & gown and Graduation Announcement. (I waited till the last day to order) Now I am posting this and then I am going to take a little nap and then fix dinner and work on my Project Life week 7 spread for tomorrow. I just wanted to pop in and show you what I made this past week.
Last week was Christy Thomlinson's new workshop "A Gilded Valentine" with Shea from the blog "A Gilded Life". I had taken Christy's 'She Art' workshop last Spring and loved it. So in this workshop on Day's 1-3 Shea teaches you how to make a beautiful heart pillow, a glittered Eiffel tower and a beautiful bracelet, then on Day 4 Christy walks you through making a wonderful canvas.
The canvas is 12 x 12 (Christy uses a 10 x 10), that you cover with paper and then do a lot of texturizing and use rub-ons then do some doodling on it. You also make 4 separate hearts to go on the canvas. I had a lot of fun making this and getting messy and creative again. Here is my canvas:
The top left heart is covered in Sticky Back Canvas, the top right is layered lace and ribbon, the bottom left is rolled paper with paint, lace and bubbles and the lower right is covered in buttons. I love how it turned out and I love the quilt look that it has since I love to quilt also. Now I have to hang it somewhere.
Great place to find Mixed Media items is Christy's shop Scarlet Lime.

Project Life Week 6- (better late than never)
This week was a bit of a struggle for me. Since I am a SAHM with nothing to do but eat bon bon's (So my husband tells me. :-) ), I had a hard time putting this together. I had spent the beginning of the week puttering around the house and sitting in front of the computer sending my resume out. I am ready to go back to work!!! I never thought I would say that, but as the children get older I get lonely during the day. The week ended with a good weekend of shopping and spending time with my hubby and kids.
Here i s a look at the whole spread:

Thank you for looking and I will see you in a few with more things going on around the house these days.

Project Life Week 5-
This week consisted of an Ultrasound of my Thyroid, listening to all my favorite podcasts as I cleaned and re-organised a few things. My monthly weight in for MMEW 2012, I was down 4.2 lbs without adding exercise. A great day of riding for Megan, report cards, scrapbooking and watching Titanic with the kids.
Here is my full spread (sorry for the shadows):

I also added 2-81/2 x 11 We R Memory Keepers page protector's to hold my kids report cards and Megan's Honor Roll Award. I love that it is all in one place. I have to say of the 3 years that I have done this project, I am enjoying this year the most.

Two more layouts checked off-
I made two more layouts to participate in Shimelle's Scrapbook Starting Points. I really enjoyed making the second layout. The colors were right up my alley. This will be my second time I have participated.
Here was the starting point:
I chose to scrap Courtney's cap and gown picture from when she graduated, (I am a little behind since she graduated in 2007) better late than never. I used AC and Crate Paper with die cut circles and embellies. I am new to this type of embellishing, so it is a struggle to get started, but I am satisfied with how it turned out.

One Little Word Blog Hop - January 2012
Oh how I can't believe that January is over. It has been a changing month for me that's for sure. I choose the word CHANGE, because there was a lot that needs changing in my life. Top of the list is my health, since I had Heart issues pop up last year and this past week went to the Endocrinologist about my Thyroid. I had a 30 pound weight gain last year and we need to figure this out. On a happier not I did lose 4.2 pounds last month. My one change was to start eating better and healthier. I can proudly say it has been three weeks since I have had any candy at all. (This is huge, since I loove candy and sweets)
Here are my January spreads for my OLW Album:
I still need to work on a few of the inserts but I am going with a gray and yellow color palate.
Next in the blog hop you go back to Margie. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. See you next month.
